Tamarack Lamb & Wool is a pasture based sheep farm with over 30 years experience producing top quality pasture raised lamb. We have imported the Ile de France, the premier meat breed of France, to use in our breeding program to produce a lean, succelent, tender lamb from our native mixed prairie grasses.
We do not feed animal based protein products to our sheep. We do not use hormones or antibiotics in our lambs. No herbicides or pesticides are used on our land. The Tamarack flock enjoys extremely good health with over 90% of our lambs meeting Kosher standards.
Our lamb is produced seasonally with lambs available from October through January. All lambs are born and reared on pasture through out the summer. Early in the season lambs will be grown on pasture and finished on turnips, later into the season lambs are finished on a balanced diet of alfalfa hay and grain.
Tamarack Lamb & Wool does not ship at this time. All orders are to be picked up at the farm. Please email or call for information.
