1:00 pm Whetham Organic Farm, 11230 W Mt Morris Rd, Flushing Twp. See our Certified Organic vegetable and herb gardens, talk about genuine organic production, Community Supported Agriculture programs, plus how to order from CSA Farmers Market. Produce may be available for purchase
2:30 pm Al-Mar Orchard, 1431 Duffield Rd, Flushing (Clayton Twp.) A visit to the orchard store and a self-guided visit to the animals of this farm. A playground and picnic tables also available.
4:00 pm Westwind Milling Co., 8572 Silver Lake Rd, Linden See where Michigan produced organic grains are milled into flour & baked into bread and other great foods. Tour of the mill and shop in the store.
Sunday, July 3
1:00 pm Rosemary's Garden, 4707 Skelton Rd., Columbiaville Rose will take you on a tour of her gardens and she will talk about her crops and her main focus will be explaining growing, harvesting and using for hardneck garlic. 2:00 pm White Pine Farm, 2933 Burnside Rd., North Branch Walk through the gardens and learn about our crops, drip irrigation, growing in raised beds, how to get involved with CSA Farmers Market, White Pine Farm & visit the animals. Produce may be available for purchase. 3:00 pm Goat Milk Soap Making Demonstration at White Pine Farm by Anita Heeke Anita who owns Pineberry Dairy Soap Co. will be demonstrating how to make goat milk soap. She will be using a mobile kitchen provide by MOFFA (Michigan Organic Farm & Food Alliance).
4:00 pm Law Family Farm, 3700 Law Rd., North Branch. Visit a 100 acre generational farm that has been in the Law family for over one hundred years. See the sheep in the pasture at the farm and visit the gardens. A farm stand at the farm will include vegetables and maple syrup.
