Many Rivers Farm offers U-pick or we-pick apples, peaches, Asian pears and blackberries. We grow 47 varieties of heirloom and uncommon modern apples and white and yellow fleshed peaches. We farm using compost and cover crops to nurture the soil, wood chips for moisture retention and weed suppression, wildflowers to attract pollinators and molasses and other bug traps to manage pests. Picking appointments available June to October.
Many Rivers is the only place in the Durham area that you can get true heirloom apples. The variety of fruit is remarkable. At Many Rivers we found apples that taste and cook exactly as we want them to. Looking forward to visiting again.
We have tasted the jams and jellies, apple cider and vinegars. You might want to buy double what you planned on getting, because once you take the top off - you will probably eat the whole jar....they are superb.... [more]
Many Rivers Apple Cider is exhilarating. There's a sparkly Vibrancy that I've never experienced in cider or any fruit juice before.
We cannot wait until next season. We will bring a gallon jug and not a mason jar.
Just north of Durham on John Jones Rd. Turn when you see the 502 mailbox on John Jones Rd. and go all the way to the end of the shared gravel drive. Please drive slowly we have plenty of apples.
