The Lee Peterson Tree Farm offers a quintessential Minnesota u-pick apple orchard experience in beautiful Becker, less than one hour from the Twin Cities. Our family-owned and operated orchard features delicious apple varieties including the beloved SweeTango® and Honeycrisp, as well as a limited variety of yummy Zestar!®, SnowSweet®, Liberty, Haralson, McIntosh, and Ambrosia apples. Visitors can enjoy farm-fresh apple picking generally from Labor Day weekend through mid-October (while supplies last). What sets our apple orchard apart is not just the exceptional fruit taste and quality but that we are Becker’s only u-pick apple orchard. As one delighted visitor shared, “We came to buy a few pounds of apples and ended up buying over 100 pounds. Every pound was delicious!” Another guest said we spoiled her taste for store-purchased apples because ours are so delicious! As we say: God makes the apples taste delicious, and Lee helps them look pretty.
The orchard is also encircled by a touching Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans' Memorial, where personalized dog tags honor every fallen soldier from both wars, organized by their home states. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit memorial, spearheaded by retired Special Forces veteran Mark Hoffmann and his wife, Linda, transforms a simple farm visit into a moving tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Beyond our renowned apple picking, the LEE PETERSON TREE FARM is also home to a second-generation Christmas tree farm operating since 1956, offering beautiful towering Spruce, White Pine, Balsam, and festive colored trees. - St Cloud From US-10 going south -- Turn left (west) onto Cty Rd 16 (57th St SE) for ~9 mi. Turn right (south) onto Cty Rd 23 SE (at apple and Christmas tree signs). Take first right (west) at the LEE PETERSON TREE FARM sign onto 59th St. Follow 59th St thru cul-de-sac and gate onto farm.
- Princeton Take MN-95 west (to St Cloud). Turn left (south) onto Ronneby Rd NE (Cty Rd 6 turning into Cty Rd 23 SE) toward Becker for ~10 mi. After passing the LEE PETERSON TREE FARM apple and Christmas tree signs (corners of Cty Rd 16 and Cty Rd 23 SE) turn right (west) at LEE PETERSON TREE FARM sign onto 59th St. Follow 59th St thru cul-de-sac and gate onto farm.
- Anoka/Elk River Take US-10 north to Becker. Turn right (north) onto Cty Rd 23 SE (Sherburne Ave). Follow BECKER instructions above.
- Minneapolis/Monticello Take I-94 (NW) to St Cloud. Take 2nd Monticello Exit 193 (MN-25) and turn right (NE) onto MN-25 for ~1 mi. Turn left onto Cty Rd 11 (165th Ave SE) after crossing the Mississippi River bridge. Follow Cty Rd 11 (NW, N) for ~4 mi. Turn left (NW) onto US-10 to Becker (~3 mi). Turn right (north) onto Cty Rd 23 SE (Sherburne Ave). Follow BECKER instructions above.
